Secondary Educational Assistant

This position is focused on aiding Kindergarten to Grade 12 students while implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans tailored to individual requirements. Applicants must exhibit a strong understanding of various behavioural disabilities and collaborate effectively with teachers. Individuals will ensure student safety and adapt instructional approaches according to progress and needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with varying behavioral and medical needs

• Implement individualized education plans and monitor outcomes

• Ensure all students are safe and supported at all times

• Collaborate with educators to refine instructional strategies

• Offer personal care, including lifting and toileting support

Requirements:

• Training in dealing with severe behavioural challenges

• Familiarity with neurodiversity and related needs

• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support Plans

• Excellent communication and adaptability

• Relevant education credential in a related discipline
