Instructor in Refrigeration

Position: Full-Time Instructor in Refrigeration
Lead the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic program at Lethbridge Polytechnic in a full-time Instruction role for the  academic year. Engage students through hands-on learning and dynamic curriculum development.

Lethbridge Polytechnic is on the lookout for a motivated instructor to join its team. In this temporary position, you will primarily focus on curriculum delivery while promoting student recruitment and managing classroom operations. You'll also work on critical program development scheduled to start in fall 2027, ensuring students gain valuable knowledge in this essential trade.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct essential parts of the refrigeration program

• Facilitate student recruitment and manage schedules

• Track student progress with intervention strategies

• Develop and maintain educational content

• Report and liaise with the Associate Dean as needed

Requirements:

• Certification as an Alberta Journeyman in the trade

• Five years’ experience in refrigeration mechanics

• Good computer and diagnostic skills

• Ability to work well in a team setting

• Teaching experience preferred, Red Seal advantageous
