Genomics in Health Research Chair

The University of Lethbridge invites applications for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Genomics in Precision Health. This role focuses on groundbreaking studies in health genomics and personalized medicine.

We are looking for outstanding emerging scholars to advance our research agenda in the Department of Biological Sciences. Candidates should focus on crucial areas such as pharmacogenomics and cancer immunogenomics while building an externally funded research program. Teaching opportunities in courses like Bioinformatics will also be a part of this role, contributing to student development and department success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pioneering research in genomics related to health

• Obtain external funding for a research program

• Guide graduate students and early career researchers

• Develop and teach courses aligned with departmental needs

• Formulate an impactful research vision for the CRC

Requirements:

• Racialized individual self-identification, per Employment Equity Act

• PhD, within ten years of research independence

• Proven ability to attract competitive funding

• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentorship
