Join D.A. Ferguson Middle School as a Regular Educational Assistant, where you will support students in grades 6-8 through effective personal care and encouragement.

Horizon School Division is looking for two passionate Educational Assistants for roughly 28 hours weekly.

Your role will involve fostering student independence, providing necessary personal care, and ensuring a safe, engaging environment. Collaborate with a team of dedicated staff while implementing strategies that prioritize student wellness and a positive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate positive interactions among students

• Assist with personal care tasks such as feeding and dressing

• Supervise students to guarantee their safety in various settings

• Support students using life-skill tools safely

• Foster collegial relationships with learning team members

Requirements:

• Experience or strong interest in supporting middle school students

• Kindness and a commitment to student well-being

• Quick adaptability in engaging environments
