Position: Full-Time School Counsellor
Become a vital part of Heritage Collegiate as a full-time School Counsellor, focusing on holistic student development and crisis intervention. This role emphasizes proactive measures and guidance in diverse educational settings.

As a School Counsellor at Heritage Collegiate, you will lead the development of a comprehensive guidance program from September 8, 2026, to June 25, 2027. Your leadership will empower school staff and provide essential support services to students, implementing assessments and planning for critical incidents. Working closely with the educational team, you'll enhance the learning environment while adhering to ethical practices in student development and counseling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop annual comprehensive school guidance program

• Provide leadership to school staff and student services

• Implement assessments and response planning for critical incidents

• Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment

• Collaborate with families and stakeholder groups

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education required

• Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology necessary

• NL Teaching Certificate – Level IV or higher

• Experience in individual and group counseling

• Understanding of child protection legislation
