TEACHER – Our Lady of the Assumption School

We are looking to hire a temporary 0.5 FTE teacher at Our Lady of the Assumption School in Lethbridge. This assignment may be increased to 1.0 temporary and will commence August 25, 2026 and terminate June 30, 2027. The successful candidate will work as part of our Complexity Team, supporting student learning through collaborative and team‑teaching practices.

Responsibilities include working closely with another Complexity Team teacher, leading small‑group instruction, and providing targeted one‑on‑one interventions to support diverse learning needs.

• Certified to teach in the province of Alberta.

The candidate must be a strong advocate for youth and their success in learning, demonstrate interest, lifestyle, and growth, involvement within a Christ‑centered working environment, and be willing to build strong connections with parents, colleagues and students.

They should support positive behaviors through effective classroom management, have a strong sense of inclusion, and be willing to work in an IB PYP school environment where teachers collaborate, encourage curiosity, and help students take an active role in learning. Familiarity with the IB Primary Years Programme or inquiry‑based learning is considered an asset; a willingness to learn, reflect, and grow is essential.
