Temporary Education Assistants

Join Our Lady of the Assumption School as a temporary Education Assistant, providing vital support to students with diverse needs for the academic year. This role emphasizes collaboration and involves direct engagement under supervision.

We seek two temporary Education Assistants for 28-hour weekly roles starting August 25, 2026. Candidates will support students with complex needs, working closely with teachers and supervisors to enhance learning environments.

Experience with special programming and maintaining confidentiality is essential in this collaborative role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with diverse educational needs in classrooms

• Support classroom teachers under guided supervision

• Facilitate personal care and hygiene tasks as needed

• Engage in team-oriented activities and training opportunities

• Maintain confidentiality of student and school information

Requirements:

• Education Assistant Certificate or equivalent required

• Minimum one year experience with special needs programming

• First Aid certification and knowledge of ASL preferred

• Experience with augmentative communication systems

• Commitment to collaborative learning environments
