Temporary Education Assistants

Children of St. Martha School seeks two temporary Education Assistants in Lethbridge, starting August 25, 2026. Assist students with diverse needs in an engaging learning environment. These positions are temporary within the CUPE 1825 Support Staff collective agreement. You will provide essential support to students with various complex sensory needs and behaviors, ensuring their participation in educational programs. Collaboration is key, as you work alongside the Inclusive Education Lead, teachers, and supervisors while maintaining confidentiality for all.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support children with diverse educational needs
• Assist students with challenging behaviors and personal care
• Engage students in their educational program actively
• Maintain school confidentiality at all times
• Collaborate with team members in assigned tasks Requirements:
• Education Assistant Certificate or equivalent
• At least one year of experience with special needs students
• First Aid training required
• Knowledge of ASL is an asset
