Early Learning Assistant at École St. Mary

Support early childhood education at École St. Mary School in Lethbridge. We're seeking a dedicated Early Learning Education Assistant for 14 hours per week with a focus on positive behavior intervention.

This role involves a commitment from September 8, 2026, to June 10, 2027. Candidates should have experience in childhood programs, familiarity with special needs, and proactive strategies for children's behavior. Preferred certifications include Hanen Learning Language, First Aid, and the ability to engage within a trans-disciplinary team to assist children as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist educators in daily classroom activities

• Support children with sound production cues

• Model and match behaviors appropriate to children's needs

• Provide help with toileting and daily living skills

• Collaborate with Speech Language Pathologists and professional teams

Requirements:

• One year experience in childhood education or special needs

• Certification in Hanen Learning Language and First Aid

• Ability to engage in physical activities within the classroom

• Willingness to take direction from professionals

• Strong teamwork and communication skills
