Support diverse learners rick School as a temporary Education Assistant in Taber. This role focuses on aiding students with unique needs under dedicated supervision.

We are hiring two temporary Education Assistants for 28 hours per week, scheduled to begin on August 25, 2026, and conclude on June 25, 2027. Ideal candidates possess an Education Assistant Certificate and experience working with students with special programming needs. Responsibilities will encompass supporting students with various learning challenges, ensuring their educational engagement and personal care needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with complex sensory and behavioural needs

• Provide support for communication and personal care tasks

• Collaborate with the Inclusive Education Lead and classroom teachers

• Maintain confidentiality of all student-related information

• Engage actively with students in their educational activities

Requirements:

• Education Assistant Certificate or equivalent required

• Minimum of one year experience with special needs students

• First Aid training

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
