Temporary Education Assistant at St. Patrick School

Support diverse student needs rick School as a Temporary Education Assistant in Taber. This position involves assisting students under the guidance of educators and specialists.

We are seeking two Education Assistants for 28 hours per week rick School starting August 25, 2026, running until June 25, 2027. The role involves supporting students with varying needs, including those with sensory challenges and personal care requirements. Applicants must maintain confidentiality and collaborate with educators to implement individualized education plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide student support under Inclusive Education Lead's direction

• Assist with complex sensory needs and challenging behaviours

• Support students with personal care tasks

• Collaborate on individual education programs with the team

Requirements:

• Education Assistant Certificate or equivalent diploma

• At least one year of experience with special needs students

• First Aid training and ASL knowledge is an asset

• SIVA Certificate and experience with augmentative communication

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
