Position: Education Assistant at Catholic Central High
Support diverse learners at Catholic Central High School in Lethbridge as an Education Assistant, focusing on students with varied needs in a collaborative environment.

This role offers continuous 28-hour per week assignments starting August 25, 2026. Ideal candidates will hold an Education Assistant Certificate or equivalent and have at least one year of experience with special programming needs. This position entails working under the guidance of the Inclusive Education Lead and classroom teachers, ensuring the educational success of all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with complex sensory needs and challenging behaviors

• Support toileting and personal care tasks for students

• Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the role

• Collaborate with teachers to implement tailored learning approaches

• Engage actively with students during educational programs

Requirements:

• Education Assistant Certificate or similar qualification

• Minimum one year experience with special needs students

• First Aid training is a must

• Knowledge of ASL is a valuable asset

• Experience with augmentative communication systems needed
