Position: Education Assistant Role at Holy Spirit Division
Make a difference at Our Lady of the Assumption School as an Education Assistant, supporting students with special needs in Lethbridge. This temporary position allows you to impact children's educational experiences directly.

We are hiring two temporary Education Assistants for 28 hours per week, commencing on August 25, 2026. This role requires working closely under the direction of the Inclusive Education Lead and the principal to support students with varying needs, including those with complex sensory issues. Effective communication and confidentiality are paramount in this supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students in classroom settings

• Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff

• Assist with personal care needs for students

• Participate in relevant professional development training

• Uphold standards of student confidentiality and privacy

Requirements:

• Education Assistant Certificate or equivalent is required

• At least one year of experience in special education

• First Aid certification is essential

• Experience with ASL and augmentative communication systems preferred

• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborative teamwork
