Position: Inclusive Education Assistant Role
Embark on a fulfilling journey as an Inclusive Education Assistant at École St. Mary School in Lethbridge, effective August 25, 2026. This part-time role offers the chance to make a difference in students' lives.

Focused on supporting children with diverse learning needs, this 14-hour weekly position falls under CUPE 1825. You'll work closely with the Inclusive Education Lead, teachers, and principal to foster a nurturing educational setting. Prior experience and relevant certifications are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with sensory needs and behavioral challenges

• Assist in toileting and personal care as required

• Work collectively under program supervisors’ direction

• Uphold confidentiality for all students and staff

• Help students achieve academic goals with adaptive methods

Requirements:

• Education Assistant or Rehabilitation Practitioner Certificate

• At least one year of working with students with special needs

• Emergency First Aid training required

• ASL knowledge advantageous

• Training in augmentative communication systems preferred
