Inclusive Education Assistant at École St. Mary

Join the team as an Inclusive Education Assistant at École St. Mary School in Lethbridge.

This role offers 14 hours per week to assist students with complex needs, under supervision and guidance from educational staff.

The position begins August 25, 2026, aiming to find a compassionate candidate with a relevant Education Assistant Certificate. You will actively support learners, ensuring confidentiality and collaboration in a team-based setting.

Experience with special programming needs is essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work directly with students requiring customized educational support

• Assist the classroom teacher with program implementation

• Engage students actively in learning and personal care activities

• Protect student confidentiality at all times

• Collaborate with the Inclusive Education Lead and other staff

Requirements:

• Education Assistant Certificate or similar credentials required

• At least one year of relevant experience needed

• CPR and First Aid certification advantageous

• Familiarity with augmentative communication systems preferred

• Knowledge of ASL is a valuable asset
