Position: Support Students as an Educational Assistant
Become an Educational Assistant with the Lethbridge School Division starting August 27, 2026. This role supports students' individualized learning and social needs, creating an inclusive educational experience.

As an Educational Assistant, you will support students requiring specialized educational and physical assistance in various elementary schools. This role emphasizes the importance of positive behavior strategies and adapting tasks to facilitate learning, while participating in the broader community. A commitment to integrating Indigenous learning approaches is also emphasized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adapt academic assignments for targeted student support

• Provide assistance with personal care and medical needs

• Support students with behavioral and learning challenges

• Monitor student progress and collaborate with staff

• Facilitate student involvement in community-based activities

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent certification in education

• Experience working with students with complex needs

• Strong communication skills for effective support

• Willingness to assist with lifting or personal care

• Understanding of trauma-informed supports and conflict resolution
