Position: D.A. Ferguson Middle School Assistant
Location: Taber

Become an Educational Assistant at D.A. Ferguson Middle School in Taber, working approximately 13 hours a week, Monday to Thursday mornings. Help students in grades 6-8 achieve their educational goals.

Horizon School Division is actively seeking an enthusiastic Educational Assistant to support positive student development. Candidates should demonstrate patience, kindness, and an ability to quickly adjust to new situations. This role requires a supportive approach to creating an engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Encourage and facilitate positive interactions among students

• Assist with personal care and daily needs

• Supervise students closely for their safety

• Collaborate with the educational team effectively

• Aid students in using life skills equipment safely

Requirements:

• Positive and patient character

• Ability to adapt rapidly in various situations

• Strong commitment to confidentiality and student dignity

• Must pass a Criminal Records Check
