Temporary Kindergarten Education Assistant

Make a difference at Children of St. Martha School as a temporary Kindergarten Education Assistant. This part-time role supports children's learning and development in a collaborative environment.

The position offers 14 hours per week, focusing on early childhood education and assisting children with special needs. The ideal candidate will possess or be willing to gain the Hanen Learning Language certification, First Aid training, and have experience with positive intervention strategies. Engaging proactively within a trans-disciplinary team is essential for supporting the children's diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily learning activities tailored to children

• Provide necessary support for positive behavior interventions

• Collaborate with Speech Language Pathologist for effective communication

• Facilitate daily living skills, including toileting assistance

• Engage effectively in an active early childhood environment

Requirements:

• One-year experience in childhood programs or special needs

• Willingness to obtain necessary certifications

• Ability to take direction from professionals

• Strong physical engagement capability

• Collaborative skills within a team
