Instructional Replacement Personnel
Assumes the role of classroom supervisor if a certificated substitute teacher is not available to cover a single-day teacher absence.
They are supervised by a school administrator regularly throughout the day. Casual Instructional Replacement Personnel will not be used in consecutive days in the same classroom unless no other certificated substitute teacher is available.
Present the learning activity prepared by the classroom teacher.
Classroom Supervisors do not assess, plan lessons, instruct nor contact parents about concerns;
Supervise students and maintain an environment that is conducive to student learning;
Documenting the progress of the daily plan to the supervising administrator; and
Responsible for other duties assigned by the supervising administrator.
Education
Degree other than Education;
Preferred
Post-secondary diplomas, or certificates
Current Palliser School Division Certified Educational Assistants.
Compensation
Full Day: $235.00
Half Day $117.50
FULL DAY: 7 HOURS HALF DAY: 3.5 HOURS anything over 3.5 hours will be paid a full day.
