Support student nutrition at W.A. Day Elementary School in Fort Macleod, Alberta, using food preparation and relationship-building skills. This permanent full-time position supports breakfast, snack, and lunch programs.
The Nutrition Educational Assistant supports the school Nutrition Program in a preschool to Grade 5 setting. You will order and prepare healthy food, assist staff with a universal life-skills program, and work with community volunteers. Success requires experience or training working with students, data collection experience, and flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:- Support breakfast, snack, and lunch nutrition programs
- Order healthy food for school nutrition programming
- Prepare healthy food for students
- Support staff implementing a universal life-skills program
- Work with community volunteers
- Possess or pursue an Alberta-approved Food Safety Certificate
- Experience or training working with students
- Experience collecting data
- Build relationships with students and staff flexibly
- Ability to work independently
