Alta Link in Lethbridge, AB, is looking for a skilled Substation Technologist. This full-time role is focused on the operation, inspection, and maintenance of high voltage substations.

As a Substation Technologist, you'll play a key role within the Alta Link team for a two-year term. Your expertise in operating and maintaining substation equipment is essential, helping to enhance performance and reliability. You'll be involved in planning maintenance strategies and addressing any fire incidents to ensure safety and efficiency across the transmission system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate substation equipment ranging from 4160V to 500kV

• Conduct inspections to maintain optimal equipment function

• Address substation fire incidents effectively

• Support capital upgrades and key maintenance tasks

• Develop improvement plans for substation operations

Requirements:

• Experience with substation equipment management

• Knowledge in maintenance and planning

• Strong analytical and response skills

• Familiarity with safety and compliance regulations

• Full-time availability for the two-year term
