The Lethbridge Police Service is currently accepting applications for a permanent full-time Strategic Intelligence Analyst - CISA
.Reporting administratively to the Staff Sergeant in Charge, Lethbridge Police Service Combined Forces Special Enforcement Section (CFSEU), the successful candidate will support the Criminal Intelligence Service Alberta/Northwest Territories (CISA/NWT) and receive day-to-day operational direction from theCISA/NWT Director and/or Analyst Supervisor. The position remains an employee of the Lethbridge Police Service while working collaboratively within theCISA/NWT intelligence network.
The Strategic Intelligence Analyst is responsible forthe collection, integration, analysis, evaluation, and dissemination of strategic criminal intelligence relating to organized and serious crimeaffecting Alberta, the Northwest Territories, and Canada. The position developsintelligence products and analytical assessments that support intelligence-ledpolicing, operational priorities, resource allocation, organizational decision-making, investigative direction, and long-term public safety planning.
Working within a complex multi-agency environment, the
Strategic Intelligence Analyst collaborates with municipal, provincial,federal, Indigenous, and government partners to identify emerging threats,organized crime groups, criminal networks, criminal markets, evolving crimetrends, and intelligence gaps requiring further collection or analysis.
