Position: Recovery Coach for Therapeutic Programs
Be part of Beccarian Correctional Care's innovative recovery initiatives as a Recovery Coach. Engage individuals in therapeutic living units and support their recovery journeys.

This casual Recovery Coach role at Lethbridge Correctional Centre focuses on fostering supportive environments within therapeutic communities. You will motivate members through engagement in group sessions, recreational activities, and vital recovery meetings. Your ability to communicate effectively and build rapport will be essential as you guide individuals toward long-term recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer ongoing evening support to members

• Join and lead group therapy sessions

• Facilitate recovery meetings for peer support

• Observe and report member progress to TLU Lead

• Help manage crisis situations with clinical staff

Requirements:

• Prior experience in mental health or addiction support

• Strong communication abilities for diverse interactions

• Understanding of recovery from substance use disorders

• Compassion in handling sensitive cases

• Lived experience in addiction recovery is advantageous
