Physiotherapist II (Taber Health Centre)
Based out of the Taber Health Centre, the sole‑charge physiotherapist will have the opportunity to use their skills in a variety of areas within the health care system, including acute care, outpatients and community/supported living settings. This role allows you to work with clients across multiple clinical environments and fully utilize the scope of physiotherapy practice.
This position may qualify for a recruitment incentive of up to $60,000, based on the length of Return for Service.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Physiotherapist II, you will provide coordination of physiotherapy and other allied health clinical services. You will provide supervision of students and team members as assigned. You will work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, providing leadership to other health care professionals. You will make day‑to‑day clinical decisions on patient/family needs regarding assessment, intervention, discharge and follow‑up.
You will make decisions and advise team members on complex clinical cases and provide clinical leadership within the program or service area to ensure safe, efficient and effective client care. You will ensure physiotherapy practice is evidence‑based and aligned with Alberta legislation and regulations, professional standards of practice, code of ethics and AHS policy and guidelines.
You will coordinate the day‑to‑day operations of an assigned service area, monitor care delivery, identify service needs and assist other medical staff with caseload management, completing chart audits and providing follow‑up and feedback to staff. You will participate in program development and operational planning and represent the department on committees or programs. You will make decisions on staffing level requirements, workflow and caseload priorities in collaboration with managers and other health care providers.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications: Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.

Required Qualifications:
At least one year experience working in a rural health care setting; demonstrated knowledge and experience in acute care and outpatient physiotherapy services; ability to work independently and strong organisational, interpersonal and team leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications: AADL authorizer status and experience with clinical documentation in EPIC/Connect Care.
