Arena Caretaker

Position: Arena Caretaker at City
Join the City of Lethbridge as an Arena Caretaker or Relief Recreation Operator. This part-time, seasonal role involves facility maintenance and ensuring safety for a variety of user groups.

The Recreation and Culture Department is hiring for two seasonal positions requiring flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Candidates should have a high school diploma and ideally some relevant certification. Responsibilities include cleaning, minor repairs, and positive public engagement throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness in arena and recreational areas

• Perform janitorial duties across facility spaces

• Address public inquiries and ensure compliance with rules

• Maintain artificial ice surfaces and related equipment

• Conduct safety checks on facilities and repairs

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent GED

• Level I Arena Operator certification required

• Valid class 5 driver's license needed

• Experience with custodial work and equipment

• Strong customer service and communication skills
