The Parks Section under the City of Lethbridge is looking to fill one seasonal role for Groundsperson Assistant/Special Events. This position is perfect for those with a high school diploma or equivalent and less than two years of experience. Responsibilities include coordinating city-wide special events and flower planting programs while working closely with the Parks Maintenance Foreperson.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate city-wide special events and logistics

• Assist in flower bed planting and maintenance

• Supervise maintenance crews effectively

• Engage with the public to discuss event details

• Operate small equipment safely and efficiently

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid class 5 Driver's License

• Basic knowledge of special events and gardening

• Ability to perform manual labor in various weather

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
