Part-Time University Caretaker

Support clean, safe University of Lethbridge facilities as a part-time Caretaker performing janitorial work and recycling. Operate specialized cleaning equipment.

Reporting to the Manager, Caretaking Services, this continuing position handles floor scrubbing, carpet cleaning, refinishing, and general cleaning. The Caretaker also assists with minor maintenance projects and cleans residence apartments during move-in or move-out when required. Work follows Caretaking Expectations, standard operating procedures, and safe work practices.

• Perform janitorial work across assigned university areas
• Scrub, clean, refinish, and maintain floors
• Operate lifts, polishers, scrubbers, burnishers, and vacuums
• Assist with minor maintenance projects as required
• Clean residence apartments for move-in and move-out

• Follow Caretaking Expectations consistently
• Follow standard operating procedures
• Follow safe work practices
• Perform general cleaning and recycling duties
• Operate various cleaning equipment as assigned
