Summer Student Labourer

Structural Truss Systems and Forma Steel Ltd are one of Canada’s premier manufacturers of engineered wood and steel building products. We manufacture our product in Fort Macleod, Alberta, approximately 25 minutes West of Lethbridge, in an enclosed plant that is open all year. With over 40 years of experience, you can expect to join an established company that offers numerous prospects.

Both Forma Steel and Structural Truss Systems are looking to strengthen their teams for the summer by hiring Summer Students to support our production operations.

• Supply lumber, plates, and components to workstations.
• Help stack and organize completed products.
• Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
• Maintain clean and organized production areas.
• Other production related duties as required.

• Assist machine operators with material preparation and production tasks.
• Package finished steel products according to customer specifications.
• Band and secure completed orders for shipment.
• Label and organize customer orders in designated staging areas.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations and storage areas.
• Support general housekeeping and production-related tasks as assigned.

• Currently enrolled in high school, or a recent graduate.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, and work on feet for extended periods.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment.
• Previous manufacturing or construction experience is an asset, but not required.
