Our client, an established food production facility in the Lethbridge area is seeking a skilled Millwright to join its Maintenance team.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing production equipment to support safe and efficient plant operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do:- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex production and packaging equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance activities within a 24/7 manufacturing operation
- Diagnose mechanical issues and apply corrective actions efficiently
- Complete work orders, track labor, and manage inventory through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
- Perform machining, fabrication, and welding repairs or upgrades as required
- Maintain and repair systems including conveyors, pumps, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, stationary engines, and high-speed packaging machinery
- Support equipment performance improvements and reliability initiatives
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, WHMIS, food safety, and health & safety standards
- Operate production equipment as required to verify performance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned
- Red Seal Millwright Certification or Alberta Journeyperson trade certification preferred
- Previous experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment considered an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of power transmission systems
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Conveyors and pumps
- Welding and fabrication
- Industrial machinery and packaging equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Experience using computerized maintenance systems (CMMS)
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Must possess a full complement of personal/professional hand tools
- Comfortable working rotating shifts, including nights and weekends as required
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting
