Position: Lead Hand - Packaging Supervisor Role

Join McCain Foods as a Lead Hand in Packaging, located in Coaldale, Alberta. This full-time position drives team leadership and operational excellence within the packaging area.

In this role, you will oversee the packaging team, providing guidance to ensure effective day-to-day operations. Communication with various departments will be crucial for maintaining quality standards and achieving company goals. With a focus on training, you will promote a culture of continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct the packaging staff of 10 or more

• Facilitate training and develop talent within the team

• Maintain documentation and monitor key performance indicators

• Conduct regular assessments of packaging equipment with maintenance

• Support supervision in performance evaluations and personnel issues

Requirements:

• Two years experience in packaging or manufacturing preferred

• Proven skills in organizing and communication

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AS400, and InfinityQS

• Experience in Lean Manufacturing practices like 5S and Kaizen

• Capacity to lift heavy items (up to 70lbs)
