We're Hiring:
Assembly Process Planner   Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
Cyient is looking for an  Assembly Process Planner  to join a leading aerospace manufacturing team in Lethbridge, Alberta. This opportunity is ideal for Mechanical Engineers who enjoy working at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, quality, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For   2 to 5 years of experience
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Strong ability to interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, engineering specifications, and GD&T requirements
Experience supporting manufacturing, assembly, and testing environments
Excellent problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset

Key Responsibilities   Plan, write, and develop assembly and test instructions
Define assembly processes, tooling, and test equipment required to assemble modules and engines in compliance with quality and engineering standards
Interpret complex drawings, documents, and engineering specifications
Work closely with engineering teams to create and maintain test instructions
Incorporate quality alerts and engineering design changes into manufacturing documentation
Analyze technical drawings to establish optimal manufacturing processes and estimate production costs
Support production through the improvement of assembly procedures and production readiness
Maintain and improve assembly and test instructions
Act as the first point of contact for temporary assembly and test procedures during investigations
Lead or participate in quality clinics to maintain key performance indicators (KPIs)
Contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on continuous improvement and quality excellence

Job Description Summary  Under direct supervision, the successful candidate will assist in planning and designing manufacturing processes within an industrial setting. Responsibilities include supporting production methods improvements, determining manufacturing capacity, establishing production schedules, and assisting with the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of manufacturing operations such as machining, metal forming, welding, brazing, assembly, testing, and material handling.
