Kelly Services is currently recruiting for Seasonal Seed Technicians on behalf of a leading agricultural client in Lethbridge, Alberta. These full-time seasonal positions run from mid-August through April and offer $23.00 per hour, with overtime opportunities available during peak production periods.

Position Details

• Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
• Location: Lethbridge, AB
• Seasonal Contract: Mid-August 2026 through April 2027
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Primary Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Overtime: Available during peak production periods
• Shift Flexibility: Candidates must be willing to work alternate shifts and overtime as operational needs require
• Work Environment: Approximately 95% indoor production facility and 5% outdoor work

About the Role

As a Seasonal Seed Technician, you will play an important role in the safe and efficient processing of seed products. Working as part of a collaborative team, responsibilities may include seed cleaning, seed treating, packaging, quality control, warehouse support, and general production activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor seed processing equipment
• Support seed cleaning, treatment, and packaging operations
• Inspect product quality and maintain seed purity standards
• Monitor production lines and identify packaging defects
• Perform routine equipment inspections
• Assist with material handling activities
• Support shipping, receiving, and inventory processes
• Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment (where qualified)
• Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Availability to work 40 hours per week, with overtime and shift flexibility as required
• Ability to lift up to 30 kg (66 lbs.)
• Ability to work at heights
• Ability to wear a dust mask and other required PPE
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow procedures and safety requirements
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proficient English language skills
• Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in agriculture, manufacturing, production, warehouse, or general labour roles
• Forklift experience or certification
• Shipping, receiving, or inventory control experience
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Additional safety certifications considered an asset

Physical Requirements

• Lift and move materials weighing up to 66 lbs. (30 kg)
• Stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
• Work in a fast-paced production environment
• Occasionally work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity
