Steel Manufacturing Machine Operator

Build steel products at Forma Steel in Fort Macleod, Alberta, operating folders, shears, and slitters on a Monday-Thursday afternoon shift.

As a full-time Machine Operator, you will help manufacture steel roofing, siding, trim, and custom panels. The role requires guiding steel into processing areas and operating equipment safely and efficiently. You will also support production through cleaning, shutdowns, product movement, and assigned work.

• Guide steel into equipment processing areas
• Operate folders, shears, slitters, and related machinery
• Start up and shut down production equipment
• Clean equipment according to required procedures
• Complete supervisor or lead hand assignments

• Safe work mindset and commitment to safety
• Experience or ability operating manufacturing equipment
• Ability to understand production drawings
• Basic math and English communication skills
• Ability to push, pull, lift, and stand
