Engage with your community by volunteering for The Watch Program under Lethbridge Police Service. Make a difference by patrolling downtown and assisting those in need.
The Watch Program aims to promote a friendly and safe Lethbridge community. Volunteers will work under a Team Lead to patrol the downtown area, offering support like first aid and tourist information. This initiative helps alleviate non-emergency issues from police duties, focusing on the community’s direct needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct foot patrols in downtown areas
• Render first aid and health assistance
• Provide directions and local information
• Help individuals requiring various forms of assistance
• Collaborate with social and emergency service agencies
Requirements:
• Availability for one 4-hour shift each month
• Desire to positively impact the community
• Basic first aid knowledge preferred
• Effective communication abilities
• Willingness to work as part of a team
