PACU Registered Nurse at Chinook Regional Hospital

Elevate patient care as a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthetic Care Unit at Chinook Regional Hospital. You will provide critical nursing services while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

As a PACU RN, you will leverage your minimum 3 years of Acute Surgical Nursing experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Your role will encompass assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for both adult and pediatric patients. Furthermore, you will participate as a key member of a multidisciplinary health care team, delivering compassionate care amid high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive patient care in the PACU setting

• Utilize critical thinking and nursing processes effectively

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members

• Participate in on-call shifts as required

• Ensure patient safety and emotional support during recovery

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years Acute Surgical Nursing experience

• Current registration with College of Registered Nurses of Alberta

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification

• Proven communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to think quickly in high-stress situations
