Field Research Assistant

Select is partnering with our client to recruit a motivated Field Research Assistant to support seasonal agricultural research activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work outdoors, collecting field data, and contributing to research projects that support crop development and innovation.

Compensation &

Hours:

• The rate of pay will be $24-26/hr

• Temporary seasonal position

• Monday to Friday day shifts

• Some overtime and occasional weekend work may be required during peak research periods

Position Summary:

• Assist with daily operations of small research plots and field trials

• Support activities such as crop monitoring, plot maintenance, and field preparation

• Collect and record field data accurately during various stages of crop development

• Assist with harvesting and handling research samples

• Follow established research procedures and safety protocols

• Maintain organized records and assist with research documentation

• Work collaboratively with research staff to support ongoing projects

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle

• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions carefully

• Self-motivated with good problem-solving abilities

• Able to work independently as well as part of a team

• Physically able to lift materials and perform repetitive field tasks

• Commitment to maintaining safe work practices

Bonus Points For:

• Previous experience in agriculture, agronomy, or field-based research

• Experience with crop monitoring, sampling, or agricultural data collection

• Education or coursework in agriculture, biology, environmental science, or a related field
