Postdoctoral Fellow

Investigate the regulation of mRNA translation (protein synthesis) in stress and cancer within the broader scope of molecular and cellular biology with applications to human health.

• Conduct research on mRNA translation regulation in stress and cancer.
• Design and perform experiments using mammalian tissue culture, RNA library preparation, gene expression analysis, and sequencing data analysis.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and utilize facilities of affiliated institutes.
• Communicate results through scientific writing and presentations.

• Solid publication record in molecular and cellular biology.
• Proficiency in mammalian tissue culture, RNA library preparation, gene expression, and sequencing data analysis.
• Experience working with human stem cells, tissue microarrays, pre‑clinical cancer organoids, and mouse models (xenograft or syngeneic) is an asset.
• Strong communication skills, scientific writing skills, and a good work ethic.
• Preference for candidates eligible to apply for NSERC and CIHR postdoctoral fellowships.
