Position: Research Associate for Niitstitapi Language Project
Pursue an impactful research career at the University of Lethbridge as a Research Associate focusing on the Niitstitapi pod language project. This position requires engagement with community members and academic collaborators.

You will manage research activities while working closely with the Indigenous Research Coordinator. This part-time role (25 hours/week) revolves around supporting student involvement in research and ensuring project milestones are met. Understanding Blackfoot culture and strong organizational skills are vital to thrive in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Niitstitapi pod language project development

• Plan and organize research mobilization and publications

• Supervise and train research assistants in their roles

• Liaise with project partners and Indigenous community members

• Manage events, meetings, and project reporting deadlines

Requirements:

• Interest in high-level interdisciplinary research

• Strong ties to Blackfoot culture are essential

• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills

• Registration in University of Lethbridge graduate programs preferred

• Background in language research, data science, or AI is advantageous
