Paladin Security is Hiring a Security Guard!

Location: Lethbridge, AB, Canada
Schedule: Day & Overnight Rotations (physically demanding role; various site assignments)
Pay Rate: $17–$21.42/hour

Overview

Paladin Security is seeking motivated and professional Security Guards to join our team in Lethbridge and the surrounding area. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining safety, and responding effectively in high-pressure situations. Security Guards in this region may work in a variety of settings and must be physically able to navigate large buildings, walk long distances, and perform regular patrols.

Successful applicants must be able to work both day and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build effective relationships with clients and patrons.
  • Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety, enforce policies, and identify potential concerns.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, emergencies, and incidents.
  • De-escalate crisis situations, support individuals in distress, and liaise with police, fire, and paramedic personnel.
  • Exercise crowd control and remove trespassers when required.
  • Write clear, detailed incident, emergency, liability, and daily activity reports.
  • Provide first aid and medical response when necessary.
  • Use two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activity.
  • Handle lost and found items and respond to related inquiries.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a valid Alberta security license.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service abilities.
  • Strong observational and situational awareness skills.
  • Ability to make rapid decisions while remaining calm during emergency situations.
  • Ability to walk 18–20 km per shift and climb stairs as required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
