Job Overview Help unsheltered individuals and improve their lives as an Outreach Support and Security Specialist. This role focuses on de‑escalating crises while navigating social services for those in need. In this security‑focused position, you will build rapport with clients facing mental health and substance‑related challenges.
Key Responsibilities Provide outreach support to unsheltered individuals
De‑escalate mental health and substance‑related crises
Help clients navigate social services effectively
Maintain detailed and accurate records of interactions
Apply trauma‑informed principles in all interactions
Requirements 2-3 years experience in high‑risk settings
Minimum 1 year as a Security Guard (preferred)
Valid Alberta Security License (training may be provided)
Valid First Aid Certification (training may be provided)
Knowledge of community resources for support
