Arial​/Heavy Duty Technician

Overview

Equipment Rental Shop located in Coaldale Alberta offering customer equipment servicing along with parts, rentals, and sales.

• Reporting to the Service Manager, the Shop Technician will be responsible for performing routine repairs on equipment and machinery on a daily basis.
• The Shop Technician must communicate well with the Shop Rentals & Service staff and deal with clients in person and drive out for equipment service calls.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, and adhere to all safety procedures.
• Perform repairs on equipment independently, with little or no supervision.
• Maintain mechanical condition of equipment.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all managers and fellow employees.
• Additional duties/special projects as assigned.

• Trade school training: 3 years and higher.
• Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Aerial and general tools background preferred.
• Experience with Genie, JLG, Bobcat, and Skyjack equipment; generators, small engines and air compressors is an asset.
• Related maintenance experience is a plus.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret service data in English.
• Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations simultaneously.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience and/or knowledge of the methods and procedures used in the repair and maintenance of all types of vehicles and equipment.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude: diagnostics in electrical and hydraulics is ideal.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Able to handle frequent lifting and exposure to loud noises, dust, gas and/or fumes.
• Journeyman ticket (required);
  Driving Licence (required).
• Experience:

8 hour shift;
Monday to Friday. On-site parking.
