Help shape the futures of children and youth at Closer To Home Community Services in Coaldale, Alberta. This permanent full-time Youth Worker role focuses on providing essential support within a community group home.

In this position, you will work closely with a team to implement holistic support strategies using the Teaching Family Model. Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day routines, assisting with educational tasks, and fostering skill development in a safe, structured setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate daily activities and support appointments

• Develop skill-building strategies and handle crises

• Enhance community engagement and family connections

• Address physical, emotional, and mental wellness needs

• Manage household responsibilities such as cooking

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in a relevant field preferred

• Background in Community Group Care settings

• Valid Alberta Driver’s License and reliable vehicle

• Strong communication skills with various age groups

• Experience managing crises in a therapeutic manner
