Overnight Child Support Worker Coaldale

Provide essential overnight support for children and youth at Closer To Home Community Services in Coaldale, Alberta. This role emphasizes trauma-informed care and fostering a sense of belonging in a group home setting.

In this permanent full-time position, you will deliver awake supervision and proactive support to youth in a community group home. Utilizing the Teaching Family Model, your focus will be on creating stable relationships and enhancing life skills to empower children and youth. Experience in trauma-informed, culturally responsive care is highly valued for this impactful role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct hourly room checks and document findings

• Investigate unusual night-time activities promptly

• Manage crises and escalated behaviors effectively

• Transport youth to appointments and emergencies

• Support bedtime routines and medication management

Requirements:

• Experience in trauma-informed and family-sensitive care

• Valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license with vehicle

• Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Diploma or degree in relevant field preferred
