ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Operations Manager, Grapple Truck/Boom Truck Operator is responsible for safe operations of Boom Truck and demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes. Work can be anywhere in Western Canada.
- Complete pre‑trip truck inspections and notify when maintenance is needed.
- Transport loads in a professional manner following the rules of the road and representing the company to the highest standards.
- Ensuring cleanliness of truck interior and exterior.
- Safe operation of the boom / mobile crane while loading and unloading.
- Communicate with customers and other trades on construction sites.
- Inspect loaded truck for accuracy of order, compliance with weight.
- Maintain accurate records for submission to Fleet Office.
- Loading and unloading of materials.
- Ensuring safety and security.
- Use GPS, atlases and other trip planning.
- Is ready to take on new challenges and is willing to learn.
- Has good work ethic.

- Is willing to motivate and mentor crew members.
- Is a team player.
- Is honest and acts with integrity.
- Driver's license:
Class 3 - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

- Experience:
Railway Boom Truck: 1 year (required), Hirail Boom Truck: 1 year (required), Grapple Truck: 2 years (required). - License/Certification:
Class 3 License (required).
Salary: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
