Driver Trainer

Position: Driver Trainer Role at First Student
Location: Taber

Lead the future of safe transportation as a Driver Trainer with First Student in Taber, AB. This role is designed for expert drivers who can develop new school bus drivers with effective training methods.

Full-time responsibilities include providing classroom instruction and practical training while enhancing the overall driver experience. You will coach and mentor aspiring drivers, promote safety excellence, and evaluate driver performance to ensure compliance with standards. Your experience will be key in shaping a positive, engaging environment for new hires.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct classroom and practical training for drivers

• Offer remedial training and support to existing drivers

• Facilitate onboarding processes for new candidates

• Evaluate driver performance and maintain training records

• Foster a safety-first culture throughout training

Requirements:

• Class 1 or 2 driving license with endorsements

• At least 2 years of relevant driving experience

• Clean driving record with no recent collisions

• Strong coaching and leadership abilities

• Commitment to safety excellence in training
