As Sales Manager in the Cleaning & Detergents business, you represent AAKO in the DACH, Scandinavia and Benelux region.

In the Benelux, you will nurture and expand an existing customer base.

In DACH and Scandinavia, you will play a key role in driving new business, identifying opportunities, and establishing AAKO’s footprint further.

You introduce new products, negotiate commercial agreements, and support customers with excellent aftersales, while spotting cross‑selling opportunities within AAKO’s broader product‑market combinations. You operate as part of a compact and collaborative team (part of the Business Unit Functional Chemicals): dedicated to Cleaning & Detergents, supported by an inside‑sales team as well as specialists in Regulatory, Finance and Logistics. These teams collectively ensure strong support and customer value.

This position offers autonomy, entrepreneurial freedom, and the chance to directly influence commercial market growth.

Candidate Profile

Bachelor's or Master's degree

Relevant knowledge and experience (>5 years) within the chemical industry, preferably distribution

Understanding of/experience with cleaning and detergency

Proven commercial success in an international B2B environment

Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to spot and convert market opportunities

High degree of flexibility

Commercial and customer orientated

Strong relationship‑building and negotiation skills

Dutch or (preferably) German resident

Excellent knowledge of English and German both written and oral

Ability to thrive in a mid‑sized organisation with ownership, responsibility, and visible impact

Your background may include detergents, cleaning chemicals and/or industrial chemicals.
