A Typical Day...
Joining us as a Multi-Unit Team Leader
, you’ll provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices. Using your people management experience and passion for helping people, you’ll guide the customer-centric teams in the offices you manage to accelerate their seasonal tax business.

• Serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving all office-related growth objectives for three tax offices.
• Start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall and transition to full-time from January to April, including evening and weekend hours as needed. This role requires in-person work (not remote).
• Lead daily team meetings, communicate essential information to tax office associates, and create associate work schedules across all offices with accurate timekeeping and labor management.
• Travel between offices as required.
• Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.

• Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders
• Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement
• Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office associate positions
• Conduct timely performance reviews and collaborate with Associate Relations Center to resolve associate issues and address performance concerns
• Build an engaging team environment across all offices by training and coaching associates and recognizing outstanding contributions
• Lead daily team meetings and ensure clear communication of essential information
• Travel between offices as required
• Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment

• People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates
• Aptitude for executing growth plans and fostering a growth-oriented culture
• Strong decision-making and judgment skills; ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset
• Computer proficiency in MS Office
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns)
