  • Monitor contractor safety performance, ensuring safe systems of work are implemented and followed.
  • Challenge unsafe acts, behaviours and conditions, promoting behavioural-based safety and a proactive safety culture.
  • Lead incident, near-miss and unsafe-condition investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Monitor leading and lagging safety performance indicators, identifying trends and implementing appropriate interventions.
  • Support contractor-led safety initiatives that reflect the changing risk profile throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build strong working relationships with project managers, designers, contractors and operational site leadership.
  • Provide practical safety guidance to project teams, translating safety standards and legal requirements into effective site practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and implementing corrective and preventative measures.
Essential Requirements
  • A minimum of five years' experience in on-site construction health and safety.
  • A recognised engineering or technical qualification.
  • An additional health and safety qualification relevant to the construction sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and construction safety regulations.
