Supply Chain & Manufacturing is where our brands are made, moved and delivered to the world. With over half of our people working across more than 100 sites, this is a complex, large-scale operation that brings together production, logistics, engineering and supplier partnerships. It’s fast-paced and hands-on, with teams working together to ensure quality, efficiency and sustainability at every stage. This role is based at Diageo’s Leven packaging site. Leven packages a huge volume of Scotch malt whiskies, white spirits and ready to drink brands to supply over 170 countries around the world and is a key manufacturing site within the Scotch supply category. As a Mechanical Production Engineer within our team at Leven, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance, repair, problem-solving, and improvement of all mechanical assets to maximize their availability across the site.

• Collaborate with operations teams, CAPEX, and other maintenance groups to drive operational performance and improvements.
• Engage with operations teams and maintenance personnel to deliver and review mandatory and requested maintenance with minimal production impact, ensuring the availability of spare parts for scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Implement and develop maintenance programs aimed at supporting and improving asset performance and utilization.
• Respond promptly to plant breakdowns, identifying and repairing root causes to minimize downtime.
• Report maintenance outcomes via SAP to ensure the sharing of best practices.
• Uphold health and safety compliance and maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of work.
• Health and safety compliance is key, and you will be at the forefront of making sure this is monitored alongside ensuring both site and personal KPI’s are achieved.

Shifts As a Weekend Production Mechanical Engineer, you will work Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7 am to 7 pm with rotating nights 1 weekend out of 3 from 7 pm to 7 am.

• Relevant qualifications and have demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and environmental risk principles
• Experience in a production/FMCG environment desirable
• Can work well within a team as well as the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can solve problems
• Able to push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities.
• A desire to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence.
