Assistant Teacher – Preschool (NYS OCFS Program).
Schedule:
9:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Pay: $17–$18/hr (DOE).
Location:
3 North Village Green Levittown, Nassau County, NY.
We are seeking an energetic Assistant Teacher for our NYS OCFS‑licensed preschool program, focused on thematic activities and purposeful play. This is a toddler position, so candidates must be physically able to lift children, move around the classroom, and play actively.
Responsibilities- Assist Lead Teacher with daily lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Supervise and engage children in play that promotes learning and development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment.
- Communicate with parents and staff professionally.
- Experience in a preschool or toddler program preferred.
- Physically fit and active.
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
- Positive, patient, and reliable.
